'Veiled Secret' Mihrab Initial Necklace
A pendant of dual devotion - one side holds your chosen initial, encircled by a swirling midnight motif of twinkling flowers, as they dance on an inky blue sky. On the reverse, a soft white heart blooms from a field of pale blue mughal-style flowers. The patterns echo boht the depths of longing and the softness of love - a piece that moves between the seen and the secret, the self and the heart.
The pendant is entirely handmade: forged from pure 23.5K gold, intricately engraved by hand, then inlaid with powdered glass enamel (meenakari) and fired in a high-heat kiln - a process that fuses the colors permanently to the gold. As a finishing touch, gemstones set using the ancient technique of 24K gold foil, create a soft setting that enhances the enamel.
Reversible and richly detailed on every side, including its edges, this pendant is a modern heirloom that reflects old-world artistry. It carries an initial of your choosing, and within it, the ancient Indo-Islamic floral motif, symbolizing the fullness of life, abundance, and the natural world’s sleeping potential - now awakening in you.
Like a sacred arch of a Mihrab, a sacred prayer niche, this pendant opens inwards. A portal toward stillness, devotion and divine alignment.
A contemporary talisman, the Veiled Secret is both personal and timeless - a piece made to be worn every day and passed down across generations.
